We are currently looking to recruit a Head Chef for an award winning hotel near Coventry. My client has developed an enviable reputation for food, accommodation and service. An overview of the business is as follows:
A mix of twin, double & Exec bedrooms
Award winning Restaurant with seating for 80 covers, open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Afternoon Tea.
3 function rooms with the largest space accommodating upto 200.
Busy Lounge & Bar along with private dining.
The hotel is now looking for someone to take the reins and help continue to sustain the reputation and put their own style and mark on the food and menus.
All food is fresh and there is a big emphasis on using local suppliers.
This is a key position to take control of one of the areas’ leading kitchens with the challenge of sustaining the current high reputation and also building and developing that further.
The role of Head Chef will take full responsibility and accountability for the day to day running of the kitchen, reporting directly to the General Manager.
We are looking for an outstanding candidate who can lead this kitchen from the front and demonstrate 1st class qualities to produce quality food of AA Rosette standard along with the ability to develop the team and ensure the kitchen runs efficiently and effectively along with having a strong relationship with suppliers, the ability to produce modern, British food and have a proven track record within a busy commercial kitchen that has a similar food turnover.
Candidates must also have a strong knowledge of food costings, health & safety and food hygiene.
