I am currently looking to recruit a passionate, and experienced Sous Chef to cover a dual role working for two hotels in the Skegness area.
I am looking for someone who can help support the Head Chef at both sites and has the leadership qualities to assist with running of both kitchens in their absence along with being responsible for ordering, staff training, health and safety and food hygiene. My client has built up and enviable reputation for food and service.
The dedicated team of staff work hard to ensure the highest standards and give a good guest experience. In terms of the food operation the largest hotel has 35 well appointed bedrooms, a 70 cover Restaurant which offers a fresh, traditional menu along with a spacious bar area and a Banqueting suite which is ideal for weddings, private parties and conferences that can cater for up to 150 respectively.
The hotel is popular with golfers and the hotel caters for a lot of golf parties and the menus are designed with this customer in mind. The menus are traditional and make use of local produce and suppliers.
We are looking for a hard working Sous Chef who has the ability to work on all sections of the kitchen, can deputise in the absence of the Head Chef at either venue, be involved with the training and development of other team members and be involved with menu planning, staff rotas and ensure the hotel maintains a high food hygiene rating.
You must also be able to deal with volume as the kitchen is very busy at peak times. The ability to produce consistent, quality food is essential.
