We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager to support the General Manager in all aspects of running a busy hotel in the Nottingham area.
My client has an enviable reputation for both accommodation, food and service and this is a great opportunity to join a successful business who offer excellent career progression and training. The hotel works to a simple ethos - great service, food & accommodation.
The food & beverage operation includes a traditional Restaurant that offers modern, British food, a stylish bar and spacious lounge area and fantastic meetings & events space that is ideal for weddings, events and conferences for upto 150. The Bar and Lounge is very busy and attracts a large number of non residents to dine throughout the day.
The hotel appeals very much to both the corporate and leisure markets. It has a strong overall reputation and we are looking for an Ops Manager to offer a 1st class service and help take the business forward.
The Operations Manager role will include:
. Taking responsibility for the hotel in the absence of the owner
. Experienced in dealing with Weddings and Functions
. Having a full commercial understanding of the hotel industry
. A thorough understanding of stock control, ordering and G.P.’s
. Excellent knowledge of Food, Wine, Spirits and Ales
. Excellent leadership qualities able to motivate and develop staff
. A strong communicator with great people skills and high standards
. Possess a real passion for hospitality and enjoy a hands on role
. Personable with excellent customer service standards
. Smart and presentable with a good eye for detail
. A flexible approach to work and able to remain calm under pressure
Salary upto £30,000 p.a. depending on level of experience.
