SENIOR M&E SALES
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior M&E Sales Manager for a Conference & Events focused Hotel near Leeds.
Working alongside the Sales Office Manager, this role will combine both re-active and pro-active sales with the focus of attracting C&E business to the venue.
As a result you should be highly attentive to detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards. You should have a can do attitude. In this type of industry teamwork is key; you should be a strong team player willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
You must have experience in a similar environment with the knowledge and confidence to deliver the role described below.
Bringing an upbeat positive attitude, and the ability to manage your own schedule effectively, as the Senior Meetings & Events Sales Manager you will be an excellent communicator with guests and colleagues alike. This role carries a high level of autonomy but will involve close working relationships with other key people within the business. There will be a requirement of occasional travel and flexibility around evening and weekend work, therefore own transport would be advantageous, however is not essential.
Key Responsibilities for the role include:
Research & develop new M&E business for the venue
Build and maintain close relationships with our key clients and bookers
Organise and host regular "client nights" with key customers
Proactively promote and sell all aspects of the business including conference/banqueting, F&B, leisure etc.
Conduct cold calls and prospecting on potential clients
Attend industry events and trade shows
Prepare proposals and contracts
Complete weekly and monthly sales reports to align with the departmental profit and loss account.
