Events & Groups Office Manager vacancy, £40,000 – £42,000 per annum. Managing a team of 5. Very busy commercial M&E office.
As Events & Groups Office Manager, you will lead all aspects of the event sales function, driving meeting and events revenue through effective management of enquiries, repeat business, and confirmed bookings.
You will ensure team targets are consistently exceeded while delivering exceptional client service in line with agreed response times and service level agreements (SLAs). Working closely with the Revenue team, you will support pricing strategies and maximise profitability across bedrooms, conference facilities, and event spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Sales Management
• Maximise conversion and revenue opportunities across all Meetings & Events business streams.
• Analyse market trends and performance data to develop future pricing and sales strategies for meeting and event spaces, including both packaged and bespoke offerings.
• Implement and manage inventory strategies within ASEM and distribution channels in collaboration with the Director of Sales and Revenue Manager.
• Prepare and distribute weekly event forecast updates to support commercial planning and decision-making.
• Present key business updates, opportunities, and booking performance during weekly and monthly revenue meetings.
• Support hotel budget planning
• Oversee large-scale event enquiries from initial booking through to delivery
• Identify and communicate sales opportunities and leads to the Director of Sales.
• Manage daily account administration and credit control processes
Leadership & Operational Management
• Lead, motivate, and manage the performance of the Event Sales Office team to achieve departmental objectives.
• Ensure effective diary and event management processes are in place to maximise revenue and operational efficiency.
• Conduct post-event follow-ups, gathering and acting on customer feedback to continuously improve service delivery.
• Maintain exceptional product knowledge across the company portfolio to effectively promote facilities and services.
• Organise and conduct client site inspections, show rounds, familiarisation (FAM) trips, and client entertainment activities where required.
• Ensure all client and event information is accurately recorded and maintained within ASEM.
