Sales Manager, Manchester city centre, branded hotel with 130 bedrooms. £34,000 per annum plus bonus & benefits including staff rate car parking, meal on duty. Part of a group of 15 hotels across the UK. Reports into Head of Sales for UK.
Sales Strategy and Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with property’s commercial goals.
- Deliver the agreed revenue targets across rooms, Food and Beverage and ancillary services.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales and the revenue team to optimise pricing, forecasting and market positioning.
Account Management
- Actively pursue new local corporate business and establish long term partnerships.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients for each property to ensure sustained revenue growth.
- Manage a portfolio of key corporate, agency and group accounts, conducting regular account reviews, negotiating contracts and securing long term partnerships.
- Maintain strong relationships with travel management companies and industry partners.
- Conduct sales presentations, site visits and networking events to showcase hotel.
Proactive Sales Activity
- Conduct proactive sales activity including sales calls, client visits, trade shows and networking events.
- Generate leads and convert them into contracted business.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Market and Competitor Analysis
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and demand patterns to identify opportunities.
- Provide regular reporting on sales performance, pipeline and market insight.
- Recommend tactical activity to respond to market changes.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with General Manager, the Revenue, Marketing and Operations teams.
- Ensure client needs and expectations are communicated clearly to the hotel team.
- Support hotel with promotional campaigns, FAM trips and client entertainment.
